Begbies Traynor expands with Darlington office

An insolvency and business recovery firm has opened an office in Darlington, which it says will strengthen its presence across the North East and North Yorkshire.

Begbies Traynor's new Darlington hub will complement existing offices in Teesside and York, providing “the opportunity to grow the team”.

Situated at Innovation Central on John Williams Boulevard, the office is strategically located in a thriving business hub with excellent transport links.

Led by insolvency director Claire Dowson, the office will also draw on the experience of insolvency practitioners Dave Broadbent and Ian Royle, with plans to recruit additional staff to support its growth.

Claire said: “As we already work with many professionals around Darlington and provide a lot of advice to people in the area, it made sense to establish a base here so that local people have easy access to our services. 

“We’ve seen rapid growth at our Teesside offices over the last year or so, and this move gives us the opportunity to continue to grow the team as well as expanding our local presence so that our knowledge is available right here. 

“We look forward to welcoming clients to our new central Darlington location.” 

Begbies Traynor, which offers a broad range of professional services, including forensic accounting, corporate finance, debt collection and personal insolvency, now operates ten offices across Yorkshire, the Humber and the North East, employing around 120 staff.
