For those that love shopping, Liverpool has plenty to offer. Liverpool One is the leading shopping centre in the region and it is packed with all the big brand names for shopping, along with independent boutiques and various seasonal pop up stores. If your kids are looking for a Christmas grotto Liverpool has some treats in store, with a great Christmas display and entertainment centre in Liverpool One. Also look out for recreational spots to drop the kids off at to burn off some energy whilst you get the shopping underway! There are all kinds of shops, from department stores and fashion stores, through to home decor, sports, cooking, jewellery, technology, food and garden stores to enjoy browsing through. You may spot some local celebrities whilst you do it, as the city is well known for being home to a number of TV, music and media stars!
As well as a great seasonal grotto liverpool has plenty of restaurants and bars, whether you are looking for a quick meal with the kids, or planning to relax for the afternoon with live Irish music, a cheeky afternoon drink and maybe a gentle easing into the evening. You will find great food on offer with everything from pizzas through to haute cuisine and the finest of cocktails! Liverpool One is set partly under cover, but many of its surrounding restaurants have outdoor terrace space which is perfect for enjoying a coffee or glass of wine on when the weather is fine. It is also a great spot for people watching and enjoying the sights and sounds of the city, as the area of the square gets quite busy.
When you have had your fill with shopping in Liverpool One, there is also the high street and plenty of other shopping gems around the docks, as well as other attractions to fill your time with. Albert Docks is home to some great museums, including the Tate Liverpool, Museum of Liverpool Life and a superb maritime museum. There is also the Walker Art gallery in the city and plenty of other sights to enjoy, such as the two cathedrals and plenty of spectacular architecture; don’t forget to see the famous Liver Birds Building and maybe enjoy a ferry journey across the Mersey!
