B2B marketing agency Horizon Works has recruited a new PR and communications specialist as part of its ambitious growth strategy.
Lauren Ford, who has more than a decade of experience in marketing, has joined the Cramlington-based company as a client partner and will lead on campaigns and projects across Horizon Works’ client portfolio.
She has previously worked for several communications agencies in the North East, supporting clients across sectors including infrastructure, transport and education, and spent part of her career as a PR manager for Arriva UK.
Lauren said: “I joined Horizon Works because I wanted to be part of a team that truly understands the industries it serves and the role that strategic marketing can play in driving business growth.
“The agency’s focus on delivering tailored marketing strategies, especially in sectors like engineering and manufacturing, where well-crafted communications can make a real difference, really resonated with me.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to Horizon Works' ongoing success and working closely with clients to deliver impactful campaigns that drive their business growth.”
Her appointment follows the hire of marketing specialist Catherine Grant earlier in the summer, and forms part of Horizon Works’ growth strategy.
Samantha Vassallo, managing director of Horizon Works, who founded the company in 2010, added: “Lauren has a fantastic blend of in-house and agency experience, substantial expertise of working with both multinationals and SMEs and a real passion for marketing and communications – so she is the perfect fit for our growing team.
“I am delighted that she’s joined Horizon Works and look forward to seeing her bring her experience to bear for the innovative companies we support in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, energy, defence and automotive.”
Samantha also spoke about Horizon Works’ growth plans, as the agency continues to expand its client portfolio with a range of regional, national and international customers across sectors including manufacturing, engineering, life sciences, technology, offshore wind and renewables, automotive and defence.
“From onboarding new customers such as power transmission specialist Lancereal, RS Industrial Services and chemical manufacturer Kilfrost, to completing major creative projects for long-standing customers, 2024 has been a highly exciting year for Horizon Works so far – and there’s a lot more to come in the next few months!”
