Johnston Carmichael bolsters Newcastle team

Leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm Johnston Carmichael has strengthened its Newcastle office with the appointment of Chris Hodgson as private client tax director.

With over 37 years of experience, Chris brings extensive expertise in personal and corporate tax advisory services, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trust planning. His career includes a long tenure at Azets, formerly Tait Walker, where he became a trusted advisor on complex tax matters.

At Johnston Carmichael, Chris will focus on delivering bespoke tax planning solutions and supporting clients in achieving their business growth and succession objectives. He will also collaborate with the firm’s specialist teams, such as wealth management and global mobility, to provide holistic client support.
